St.Vincent Pallotti College Library  has built up a reputation of higher academic standards ,the library and Information Centre  acts as a nerve centre catering to the academic and research needs of the students, the researchers and the faculty members of graduate and Pre University and Graduate departments, covering Science, Social Science, Humanities ,and Management engaged in higher pursuit of knowledge. One of the pillars of such high standards is its high-quality Library facilities; St.Vincent Pallotti College Library has been shaped as a centre of excellence, for academic and research pursuits by keeping itself open to the changes brought in by information and communication technologies. The Library has a huge collection of over a Thousand of Books along with CD’s and DVD’s apart from latest Journals and Periodicals. The library is actively participating and contributing for the success of UGC’s INFLIBNET and INFONET activities, and availing the benefits of these programmes for the benefit of its users.

Mission

The St. Vincent Pallotti College Library and Information Centre strengthen and enhance the teaching, research and service of the SVPC. The Library promote intellectual growth and creativity by developing collections, facilitating access to information resources, teaching the effective use of information resources.

 

Objectives

• To create awareness of various resources and facilities subscribed by the Library through multiple events
• To organise, provide access to, and preserve materials to meet the needs of the students and faculty members
• To facilitate the creation of knowledge and develop an archive of books, journals, electronic resources for teaching and research purpose.
• To ensure maximum utilization of books, journals, electronic resources subscribed by the library.
